Description
Apply a thick layer of creamy mud using circular motions. Let it dry, then rinse thoroughly. Ghassoul:
Ghassoul, or Rhassoul, is a general term derived from the Arabic word “ghassala” or “rhassala,” meaning to wash. It is a smectite clay primarily composed of lithiniferous stevensite, a mineral from the magnesium montmorillonite group, found in brown, black, or beige colors. This clay has natural properties such as absorbent, swelling, saponifying, cleansing, and degreasing. Ghassoul, of lacustrine sedimentary origin, is found in tertiary-age formations. Synonyms for Rhassoul include hectorite and stevensite.
